According to reports, on August 23rd, 2019, investigators were called to an address on Bayou Drive to investigate a 911 call of shots fired at the residence. Upon arrival, the complainant, Blake’s girlfriend, told deputies that she and Blake got into a verbal altercation as Blake was intoxicated. She asked Blake to leave and he did.

The victim stated that Blake returned a short time later and kicked in the front door of her home, causing her to run into her bedroom and lock the door. While inside Blake grabbed her handgun and kicked in the door to her bedroom. The victim, again, told Blake to leave the residence. Blake went outside at that point and fired “one or two rounds into the air” with the gun. The victim then went outside and was grabbed by Blake as he attempted to drag her to his car. She was able to break free and fell to the ground.

While investigators were speaking to the victim, Blake fled the scene on foot, jumped into Bayou Manchac and swam under a pier to hide from law enforcement. Eventually, Blake surrendered and swam out from under the pier and got out of the water. Deputies were attempting to take him into custody at which point he punched one of them in the head. After a brief struggle on the ground, Blake was subdued and handcuffed.

He was charged with Domestic Abuse Battery, Illegal Use of a Weapon, Resisting an Officer, Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Battery on an Officer. Blake was also booked on an outstanding warrant. He was transported to EBR Parish Prison where he is currently being held.
