Man Accused of Domestic Battery Upon Victim he Previously Attacked

A man who was convicted of Domestic Battery upon a victim was arrested again recently for attacking the same victim with a knife.

Daniel Kimbrell

According to a report, Daniel Kimbrell, 36, Yorkfield Drive, Baton Rouge, got into an argument with the victim inside of his home on August 29th. At some point, Kimbrell pulled out a knife and “held it as if to stab the victim in the chest” while telling the victim he would kill her.

On August 30th, Kimbrell got into another argument with the victim and allegedly slapped her with an open fist. He then grabbed the victim by the hair and pushed her face into a mattress, breaking her glasses while calling her a “stupid bitch.” Kimbrell threatened to kill the female and her 2 minor children, who were not home at the time.

The victim told investigators she had to wait until Kimbrell passed out from drinking before she could leave the residence as he would not let her leave.

Kimbrell has a previous conviction for Domestic Battery upon the same victim and at the time of this incident had an active warrant for Domestic Abuse upon the same victim.

Booking records show Kimbrell was arrested in July of 2018 for a single count of Domestic Battery and again in November of 2018 for a single count of Domestic Battery.

He was arrested and charged with Aggravated Domestic Abuse Battery, Simple Assault, False Imprisonment; Offender Armed and Domestic Abuse Battery.

Kimbrell remained in EBR Parish Prison on this date.
