Four People Shot Dead Saturday and Sunday in Baton Rouge

Investigators are working 4 separate shootings that occurred in Baton Rouge between noon Saturday and midnight Sunday. All 4 of the incidents resulted in fatalities.

The first shooting incident occurred around 12:40 pm Saturday. Police were called to the 5200 block of Enterprise St. after a 38-year-old man was located, deceased, with gunshot wounds. The victim was identified as Bobby Holiday of Mohican St. in Baton Rouge. Police say there are no motives and no suspects at this time.

In the 2nd incident, which appears unrelated and occurred a few hours later, Baton Rouge Police were called to the 1500 block of Curtis St. around 4:15 pm. Investigators located a gunshot victim who was deceased. Detectives identified the deceased as Donald Joseph, 38, of Baton Rouge. There are also no motives and no suspects in this incident.

The 3rd incident occurred later Saturday night around 8:50 pm. Baton Rouge Police were called to the 6300 block of Cyras Ave to investigate another deceased male who had been shot. Police identified that victim as George Pikes, 25 of Baton Rouge. Again, investigators have no motives and no suspects from this shooting.

The 4th fatal shooting of the weekend took place in the 6200 block of Blueberry St. in Baton Rouge around 11:20 pm Sunday. Investigators say that the body of Steven Dixon II of 6065 Blueberry St, was found lying in the street, deceased from multiple gunshot wounds. Police stated that there are no motives and no suspects for this incident either.

These 4 fatal shootings bring the current number of homicides in Baton Rouge to 61.
