The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office arrested a man after an alleged domestic battery incident at a residence on Willows End Drive late Tuesday night.
According to a report, Dustin Drago, 37, Willows End Drive, attacked a man and woman at that residence, in the presence of Drago’s minor child. The man told deputies that Drago bit him on his leg and his hand, then held him down on the ground with his foot on the victim’s throat. Deputies noted in the report that the male victim was bleeding from his hands, legs, and arms.
The female victim told investigators that Drago forcefully grabbed her by her arms and slammed her down on a bed causing injuries. Drago then took the victim’s backpack which contained cash and credit cards and attempted to leave the residence. The female followed him out in an attempt to stop him but was again attacked by Drago. The male victim attempted to intervene which is when Drago attacked him.
Investigators located Drago and placed him under arrest. Drago denied being involved in the altercation and told Deputies that he was hiding because he saw the police at his house.
He was charged with Domestic Abuse Battery / Child Endangerment and Theft. Drago was booked into the EBR Parish Prison where he remained as of Thursday morning.
